I do love a bit of @slash and @officialmyleskennedy and The Conspirators, especially when they're live. This album is cracking so far 🤘🏼 I'll get around to watching the accompanying DVD some time before the year is out I'm sure 😆
So @hannahgore96 and I completed our 100km continuous #thamespathchallenge in 26h 43m, which was far as I'm concerned is blinding. Hannah blistered early due, partly, to the surface underfoot in the first half, and I followed suit (though H had it way way worse than I). She had treatment from the excellent @actionchallenge medical staff and soldiered on without moaning (beyond the reasonable), until the end. She was brilliant. Thank you Hannah for everything and for being so wonderful for the entire 26 hours. I wouldn't have wanted anyone else by my side. We were raising money for the @mssocietyuk and you can donate through my JustGiving (www.justgiving.com/martygore71) page if you so desire I've already raised over £1000 and I'm so happy about that, but there's still room for more over the next 6 weeks 😉 This was far tougher than I thought it would be and I'm proper thrilled we completed it 😊 #ultrachallenge #ultrawalker #actionchallenge
Home, safe and sound. All in all an excellent trip home. Faultless all the way, well, as long as my bag arrives 😆. Same can't be said for poor Ben traveling to Australia, sadly. It's all going wrong for him 😟 Hopefully it's sorted now though.
I'm in Dubai awaiting my flight to Stanport Airsted. Halfway home now. Flight leaves in about 45 minutes, all being well. So far everything has gone smoothly 👍🏼 I had a hearty breakfast on the flight here, so I wonder what's for 2nd breakfast on this one? 😆🇦🇪🛫🛬🇬🇧

Today we spent our last day (😭) in Vietnam wandering about Hanoi. We spent some time in Train Street; a café lined street right on the railway tracks. That was a quite an experience 😄 I can't believe this is all over now. As I type I'm sitting in a hostel waiting until 10pm when I go to the airport (my flight is at 1 30am Monday). It's not just the going home and leaving Vietnam I'm sad about, it's also the fact that I'm leaving Ben. I've had the BEST TIME EVER with him; there was never a tense moment or bad word between us. He's such a warm, intelligent, clever, funny, emotional, caring and genuine human being. We've been though so much over the last 3½ weeks, he's put up with my anxieties over so many things, but never got frustrated or lost patience with me. I've stepped outside ALL of my comfort zones, and I have him to thank for all of it. Now I won't see him for a year as he flies to Australia into the unknown. This is going to be hard, but he'll have the best fucking time (and he'll be with his girlfriend Chloe). Between Ben and his sister Hannah, I have the most wonderful children anyone could EVER wish for. I love them unconditionally and so so so very fucking much ♥️♥️♥️ #travelling #travels #travelswithmyson #Vietnam #🇻🇳 #hanoi
